The U.S. has witnessed numerous historic events over the years, however, the inauguration of President Barack Obama on January 20th must rank among the greatest events in American history. It is hoped that President Obama's presidency will bring the fulfillment of the hopes and dreams of the American people for the greater good of that great country, and also for the wider world.

The Wolfe Tones have previously released a song, 'This Is The Day', which symbolises the yearning for peace and equality, not just in Ireland, but throughout the world. This song was inspired by Martin Luther King's famous 'I had a dream' speech in 1963. It is felt that this song is ever more poignant given the election and inauguration of President Barack Obama.

The Wolfe Tones would like to give this song as a gift to the people of the United States, and to the wider world in this time of renewed hope and change.
